I will never get over burger places.  I love places that only do burgers because….well, I love burgers.  And if they’re confident enough in their burgers to only serve burgers, that’s a burger I want.

This one kind of popped out of nowhere.  I saw something on Twitter about a new burger place on the Eastside and had to go check it out.

Burger Bros is a new concept from the people that brought you Kelvin & Co.  The restaurant is a quick service shop on Riverview Drive at the intersection with Bridge Street.  The last time I was in this strip mall, this space was a BBQ joint.   I think it was a chicken place in between but when I stopped to check that place out, it was already closed.

The place is pretty small and hasn’t changed much from the BBQ joint.  There’s a large counter right as you walk in the door.  The menu is hanging on another wall off to the side but there are paper menus on the counter as well.

One thing that has changed is a wall next to the counter that closes the space off a little bit.  There are no tables inside this carry-out/delivery restaurant but there is a counter with some stools along the wall to hang out while you’re waiting or a place where you can quickly eat lunch.

I put in an order for a Double Burger with American cheese and bacon.  They have a pretty big list of free and premium toppings.  It reminded me a little of Five Guys in the way the toppings are laid out.  You can go “Bro Style” which includes ketchup, mustard, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion or you can pick and choose your toppings.  I kept it simple with just cheese and bacon so I could enjoy the meat.  The sandwich is simple with two Angus beef patties that have cheese between each layer that has melted into the meat.  The crispy bacon was on the top layer which is then covered with a pretty simple white bread bun.

I added on an order of Regular Fries.  The fresh cut fries are soft and airy with a seasoning salt liberally applied. They also have an option for Bro Fries which include unlimited toppings but I was good with this smaller portion that just has seasoning.  They’re the kind of fries that just go perfectly with a burger.

The cost of my meal was right around $10 which I paid for with cash but they also accept cards.

I like Burger Bros.  It’s such a simple concept with simple delicious food.  The prices are a little more affordable than the other “guys” burger place but the quality is right on par.  The location is a little out of the way for a quick downtown lunch but if you have a few extra minutes, it’s worth the time….and if you don’t like burgers, they also have chicken…but really..worth the time for the burgers.
